DAVID L. STROBEL
David Strobel is a highly respected senior executive with more than 25 years of transformational experience $2.5B global specialty materials firm. He is known for creating a culture of ownership and accountability leading to best in class results. Recognized as a strategic thinker and planner with expertise in research & development, profit & loss, plant & operations management, M&A, supply chain, quality assurance, new product development, safety & client engagement.
Most recently Mr. Strobel founded Silver Eagle Consulting, a company aimed at assisting manufacturing companies in defining and executing their strategy for success, with a particular focus on Operational Excellence and New Product Development.
Previously, Mr. Strobel served as Corporate Officer and member of the Executive Team for Carpenter Technology, a $2.5B manufacturer and distributor of specialty alloyed metals. His most recent role with Carpenter Technology was that of Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer with responsibility for developing and executing new product growth strategies, while enhancing the Quality Systems across all of Carpenter’s sites. Mr. Strobel also had responsibility for the Powder Products division, and was actively engaged in M&A related activities.
Earlier with Carpenter, Mr. Strobel served in the role of Senior Vice President of Global Operations. He was responsible for all 11 manufacturing sites in addition to Global Engineering, Supply Chain Management and EH&S. During this period, Mr. Strobel and his team constructed a new $540M lean manufacturing facility for Aerospace and Energy related long products, and established the first manufacturing facility in China for Carpenter.
As part of his career history, Mr. Strobel holds various patents and is a co-author of a publication related steel and metal manufacturing and process
Fully committed to his profession and community, Mr. Strobel is an active member of the Association for Iron and Steel Technology (AIST) and the American Society for Metals (ASM). Previous volunteer and community involvement includes: Director – United Way of Berks County, Campaign Cabinet (2010 & 2014), Berks County Conservancy, 2008 – 2009 and Olivet’s Boys and Girls Club (2009).
Mr. Strobel earned an MBA from Saint Joseph University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
